Central PA Day of Service

Long’s Park is an old, heavily used 80-acre park northwest of the city, with many large mature trees in need of care. It is the site of an annual summer-long music series, a nationally acclaimed fine arts festival, and what the park claims is the largest chicken barbecue in the world.
 
The Arbor Day of Service is an opportunity for ISA certified arborists to give back to a community in the region, donating tree care services to lands that are open to the public. Local TV stations and newspapers are invited and often come, providing positive publicity for the arboriculture profession. The full-day event includes lunch, T-shirts, and camaraderie for all participants, as well as ISA CEUs.
