Bryan Hall
Bryan Hall is a Circuit Rider Planner for Sussex County Delaware managing land use activities. Educational background: MS in Environmental Science from Wesley College of Dover, DE, and MS in Environmental Science and BS in Forest Resource Management from West Virginia University in Morgantown. Former Forest Service program coordinator, and worked for Asplundh as a planner and on various crews. Penn-Del activities include promoting the Certified Arborist Program, co-hosting the Eastern Tree Climbing Competition and the Eastern Penn-Del Chapter Arbor Day of Work in Delaware.

Matthew Erb
Matthew Erb is Director of Urban Forestry for TreePittsburgh. Matt provides technical assistance to the TreeVitalize program. Prior to joining Tree Pittsburgh in July of 2007, Matt was an urban forester with Davey Resource Group, conducting tree inventories in over 16 states and authored numerous urban forestry management plans. He worked on the Pittsburgh street tree inventory in 2005 and completed tree inventories of Allegheny Cemetery, Allegheny Commons, Schenley, Frick, Highland and Riverview Parks. He has a BS in forestry from Penn State University, is an ISA Certified Arborist and was the first ISA Municipal Specialist in Pennsylvania. In 2009 Matt was appointed by Mayor Luke Ravenstahl to the Pittsburgh Shade Tree Commission.

John Smithmeyer
John Smithmyer is a commercial arborist and serves southeastern PA and DE as the Assistant Division Manager for Bartlett Tree Experts. John specializes in Arborist training and management assistance. John works daily with field Arborists to diagnose and manage commercial and residential tree care customer needs. John previously worked as a branch manager for two Bartlett offices, opening one of them. From 1990-1999 John worked for Wye Tree Experts serving as a production arborist, salesperson, operations manager and minority owner. John is past president and board member to MAC ISA. John is married with four sons from 1st-10th grade. John is interested in serving the constituents of the Penn Del chapter to help grow membership, annual meeting attendance and advance the local chapter’s goals. John will dedicate his efforts to assist membership and leadership. John’s hobbies include hunting, fishing and coaching.
